Individual State Finals
Aiden Chavez ended his sophomore campaign at Ford Field wreslting in the MHSAA State Finals. Aiden finished his season with a 25-7 record, OK Green Conference Champion, and a State Qualifier. We’re extremely proud of Aiden, all the extra hard work paid off. We look forward to watching you achieve your goals in the future. #duxpride

Today Emma traveled to Gull Lake for the Girls Individual Regional. Emma’s season wrapped up today as she went 2-2 and fell short in the blood round, one match shy of qualifying for the state finals. Very proud of Emma’s hard work and forging a path for girls wrestling and Zeeland West!

Yesterday the Dux wrestled at the individual Regional tournament at Allendale. Earning 3rd place at 106 bracket and qualifying for the individual state tournament at Ford Field on March 1st was Aiden Chavez! Unfortunately it was a bitter sweet day as the season came to an end for Kham Phothisan, Gerrit Hartman, and Austin Ulberg. Proud of the leadership and growth. Today Emma Kouw heads to Gull Lake for the Girls Regional tournament for a chance to qualify for the state tournament also! #findaway

Individual Districts
Today the Dux traveled to Lowell for Individual districts. This tournament is an emotional rollercoaster because you see the heartbreak of some who fall short of their goals in one match and turn around and support and cheer another who fights to continue to work for their goal. Thank you to all of our seniors who have helped set a foundation for future Dux wrestlers. You have left your mark on the program! Today Aiden Chavez, Kham Phothisan, and Austin Ulberg placed 3rd. Placing 4th was Gerrit Hartman. All four will wrestle at individual regionals next Saturday at Allendale. Emma Kouw will also represent the Dux next Sunday at the Girls Individual Regional! #findaway

The Dux traveled to Wyoming HS today to compete in the OK Green Conference Tournament. Coaches are very proud of how everyone wrestled and competed today.
