Coach Stewart joined the Dux staff in 2019 after six years as the assistant coach at Holland High School where he also graduated from. After high school, Coach Stewart attended Muskegon Community College where he wrestled. Coach Stewart serves as the Varsity Head Coach and a Creekside Middle School Football Coach.
Coach Lepley joined the Dux staff in 2019 after coaching three years as the head coach at East Grand Rapids, and three years as the JV coach at Holland. A graduate of Owosso High School, Coach Lepley continued to play football in college at Hope College. Coach Lepley predominantly serves as the Varsity Assistant Coach and Creekside Middle School Football Coach.
Coach Tahji has been coaching for Zeeland West ever since he graduated from Zeeland West in 2019. Officially have been on the coaching staff for 3 years, and has headed up the development of the girls wrestling program at Zeeland West. He wrestled all his life, and is currently training Jiu Jitsu. His senior year (2018-2019) acquired 128 career wins and was the last state qualifier up until 2024. Coach Tahji loves getting to connect with student athletes who desire a passion for the sport and making fun memories.
Coach Ben from Skokie, Illinois, and began wrestling as a junior in high school. After taking a year off, he wrestled at North Central College in Naperville, Illinois for 3 years. After earning a degree in Marketing and psychology, he made my way to Haines, Alaska, where he was the head wrestling coach for the high school. Ben and his wife Katie have hosted foreign exchange students for the past two years, and is apart of the Michigan Army National Guard. Personally, he enjoys exercising, cooking, and listening to/playing Middle Eastern music.
Coach Heckel is a Zeeland West wrestling alumni with 128 matches won during my high school career. Having recently graduated from Central Michigan University, he has come back to Zeeland to work as an engineer at Gentex and give back to the wrestling team that has given so much to him.
Coach Donald is a new addition to the 2024-25 wrestling season for Zeeland West. With his recent move to Zeeland for work, Donald looks to find ways to put his past experience as a wrestler of 15 years to good work serving as an assistant coach.

Coach Tai Navarrete, is proud to serve as one of the assistant wrestling coaches here at Zeeland West High School. With six years of experience competing on the mat, he now enters his third season dedicated to mentoring and building a strong foundation for young athletes who strive to grow and improve every day. His coaching journey began following my senior year of high school. I started wrestling at the age of 11, and after one season, I discovered a genuine love for the sport. Our goal as coaches extends beyond wrestling. Regardless of their background, we aim to prepare these young athletes to be leaders—not just on the mat, but in every aspect of life.
Coach Sanchez is a 2025 Zeeland West Graduate who joined the coaching staff in 2025-2026. He was a three year starter for the Dux and was a state qualifier his senior year at 113 pounds.
